Akshay Kumar’s ‘Bhooth Bangla’ Locks New Release Date? The Horror-Comedy Arrives Not in May, But a Month Early!

Fans and movie buffs are highly anticipating Akshay Kumar’s theatrical comeback. While the audience was counting the days for the release of Bhooth Bangla, the makers locked in a new date. The horror-comedy knocks off the May release and is now all geared up to bring in a box office storm on April 10, 2026. Alongside Akshay Kumar, the film stars Tabu, Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, and others in key roles. 

Directed by Priyadarshan, Bhooth Bangla offers a spooky journey inside a haunted haveli. Reviving old-school slapstick comedy, the drama is a perfect combination of chaos, humour, and supernatural elements.

Bhooth Bangla New Release Date Revealed

Bhooth Bangla was earlier scheduled for release on May 15, 2026. However, the film has advanced its theatrical release by a month. Arriving in cinemas on April 10, the horror comedy is guaranteed to make you roll on the floor. Reportedly, the film might clash with other most-awaited releases of 2026, including Dhurandhar: The Revenge, Toxic, and Battle of Galwan. All of the anticipated films are expected to dominate the box office in their own way. 

Ranveer Singh starrer Dhurandhar 2 and Yash’s Toxic release on March 19, 2026. The short gap might impact audience turnout and screen availability during its opening weeks. On the other hand, there are rumors that Salman Khan’s Battle of Galwan might lock a new release date as the makers plan to reshoot some of the scenes. Presented by Balaji Motion Pictures in association with Cape of Good Films, Bhooth Bangla’s promotional activities may begin anytime soon.
