Ajay Devgn’s Chauhaan First Look OUT: Action Entertainer to Hit Cinemas in October 2027

B’town star Ajay Devgn’s Chauhaan is a sure-shot, gritty, and action-packed drama. The film is presented by Jio Studios and produced in association with Colour Yellow, marking his debut collaboration with filmmaker Aanand L. Rai. What’s special? The makers announced the film on the birth anniversary of Devgn’s father, Veeru Devgan, a celebrated Hindi cinema stunt choreographer who breathed his last in 2019.

Slated to hit the theatres on October 1, 2027, the teaser featured the iconic song Jumma Chumma De De from the 1991 movie Hum. Directed by Neeraj Yadav, the Devgn’s return to the action genre after comedies. Take a look!

Ajay Devgn’s Chauhaan First Look Revealed

The makers released the 2-minute and 24-second announcement teaser on June 25. Set against the backdrop of Pulwama, Kashmir, in 2018. The scene depicts over 300 men rioting on the streets and pelting stones at the Indian Army. Despite the army’s efforts to control the crowd with tear gas, pellet guns, and even water cannons, the protestors show no signs of backing down. That, until Chauhaan makes an appearance.

Devgn, playing the titular character, arrives wearing a balaclava and blasting “Jumma Chumma De De” from a speaker, immediately commanding the agitated crowd’s attention. The teaser ends with Devgn thundering, “Pathaanon se kehna, Chauhaan aa raha hai”. Devgn is best known internationally for starring in the Indian box office smash RRR, which came from S.S. Rajamouli.
