After Ram Charan’s Peddi, THIS Action Thriller too Gets Postponed to Avoid the Competition With Dhurandhar 2 and Toxic

Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur’s upcoming film Dacoit was supposed to hit the theatres on March 19, alongside Dhurandhar: The Revenge and Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown Ups. However, considering the anticipation and social media sensations around Ranveer Singh’s sequel and Yash’s much-awaited comeback, the makers of Dacoit decided to push the release to April 10, 2026. 

The action-packed film will now avoid the fierce box office collection, hoping for a clearer window in April. Dacoit stars Mrunal Thakur and Adivi Sesh in lead roles. Surprisingly, the latter not only features as a lead but also has co-written the drama. Alike Dacoit, the makers of Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor starrer, Peddi, too have pushed their release from March 27 to April 30, 2026.

The buzz around Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar 2 and Yash’s Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown Ups is ascending day by day. The current buzz around the high-profile films has thereby led the makers of Dacoit to postpone their release. Director Shalini Deo stated that they hold deep respect for both films and their creative teams, and strongly believe that every theatrical release deserves its own uninterrupted space with audiences. 

The Dacoit has also been shot simultaneously in two languages, namely Hindi and Telugu. It is the story of love, betrayal, and deceit. Moreover, it aims to connect the audience through its scale, intensity, and captivating storytelling. The audience will have to wait a bit longer to witness the magic of Mrunal and Adivi Sesh on the big screen.
