Just two weeks ahead of the most anticipated Oscar Awards, on March 1, 2026, the 32nd annual Actor Awards were held at Hollywood’s elite at L.A. Shrine Auditorium. Previously known as the Screen Actors Guild Awards, the celebrities and performers are voted on by a membership of more than 160,000 actors. The name was revamped to provide clearer recognition in terms of what the award truly means. Many of the voters hail from the acting branch of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, which hands out the Oscars. For the unversed, the actors branch is the Academy’s largest voting body. Hence, the voters’ tastes and preferences carry enormous weight in the Actor Awards.
The ceremony, which aired live on Netflix, was hosted by Nobody Wants This fame Kristen Bell. The highlight of the awards night was the big win of Michael B. Jordan for his leading role in Sinners. Jessie Buckley won the title of best leading actress for Hamnet, while Sean Penn was hailed as the best supporting actor for his role in One Battle After Another. Sunday’s awards sent a wave of excitement through the crowd and created a frenzy. Here is the entire list of winners and nominees who made the award night nothing short of a star-powered evening.
