JEE Advanced 2026 exam results have been announced and now it’s important to take further steps for the admission process. Eligible students are required to go through JoSAA counseling, which has now been started. The registration window is open and now we are going to learn about the process here.
For entrance into IITs, NITs, IIITs and other participating institutes, the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has launched the JoSAA Counselling 2026 procedure. After the JEE Advanced 2026 result was revealed on June 1, the registration and choice filling procedure started on June 2, 2026.
Candidates who passed JEE Main and JEE Advanced can now register for the JoSAA portal to finish the counselling process. Mock seat assignments will be released on June 8 and June 10, respectively and the deadline for choice locking and registration is June 11, 2026, according to the official timetable.
Step I
Go to josaa.nic.in, the official JoSAA website. Click on Online Registration and Choice Filling for JoSAA 2026 on the Candidate Activity Board on the homepage. A fresh login page will be shown on the screen. Use your JEE Main 2026 application number, password and security pin to log in. Go over every detail thoroughly before hitting the login button.
Step II
Candidates can begin filling out their chosen universities and courses after finishing registration. Students can choose the institute type, institute name and programme from the supplied list. Before they may begin filling out their options, applicants must check the OTP that was sent to their registered cellphone number. After OTP verification, use the Add button to add selections to the preference list. Candidates ought to rank their preferences. Students have the option to include multiple choices throughout the procedure. Prior to June 11, 2026, applicants must make their final selections.
