Wipro Buys Singapore Based Company For 375 Million US Dollars As Part Of 1 Billion USD Contract Win

Wipro is a giant multinational information technology company in India. The company is acquiring a Singapore based company for a whopping amount, as per the reports. The tech giant is set to buy 100% of the Mindsprint company as part of a larger agreement signed with Olam Group. The company has stated that it is prepared for the purchase in a filing of the exchange.

The deal is for eight years with a potential final contract value of over 1 billion US dollars. Wipro is purchasing the Singapore based firm for a total price of about 375 million US dollars.

According to the IT company, Wipro, the transaction is anticipated to close in June this year (June 2026) in all cash arrangements, contingent upon the required regulatory clearances. According to the reports, the objective of the purchase is to drive AI powered digital transformation for the global food and agricultural business for eight years.

With a market worth of over 50 billion USD, Olam is a prominent player in the food and agricultural industry. Its headquarters are in Singapore as well. Temasek Holdings owns the majority of the business, according to the reports.

What’s the Plan?

Wipro will collaborate with the Olam Group on a comprehensive transformation over the course of the eight year agreement using a consulting led and AI driven strategy. Wipro will leverage its industry knowledge and integrated suite of AI enabled services to help Olam Group improve its core operations and achieve a competitive edge in the market. Additionally, Wipro will also purchase Mindsprint, the IT services sector, as part of the larger deal.

Biggest Deal

According to the reports, this longest deal is the biggest in 6 years. Based in Singapore, Mindsprint provides digital and technological services in a variety of fields, including digital platforms, data and analytics and enterprise applications. With over 3,200 workers located throughout India, Singapore, the United States, the United Kingdom and the Middle East, its workforce is global.

In addition to its unique IP driven solutions and supply chain transformation capabilities, Mindsprint has a particularly strong presence in the Food and Agri-business sector.
