A tech professional who makes Rs. 1.05 crore a year has detailed how his 14 year career affected his life. Interestingly, his greatest salary was just Rs. 20,000 per month. He has reflected his views on how the high paying salary makes him feel clueless.
In a Reddit post, he reflected on his path from a tier 3 graduate who struggled to get his first employment to earning over Rs. 1 crore annually. He stated that he was happier jumping from Rs. 14,300 to Rs. 20,000 than any subsequent increase. After graduating in 2012, the techie spent almost six months searching for his first employment. He then earned a salary of Rs. 20,000, Rs. 32,000 and Rs. 60,000, up from Rs. 14,300.
He earned Rs. 13 lakh a year after relocating to Bengaluru. Subsequently, it increased to Rs. 25 lakh, Rs. 40 lakh, Rs. 60 lakh, Rs. 80 lakh and then Rs. 1.05 crore. Although he doesn’t consider them money until they are exercised, he added that he also has ESOPs totaling over Rs. 50 lakh.

The techie acknowledged that making a good income hasn’t completely pleased him with his employment. He often keeps working after office hours and stated he doesn’t like working for others anymore. He has also made assets for wealth creation and has different streams for income.
