Since urging former workers to rejoin the company, Deepinder Goyal, the founder of Zomato, has seen a significant amount of affection and interest from them to work with the company once again, as evidenced by the 8,000 emails from them that are in his inbox. Goyal has published a tweet.

The appeal by The Eternal’s founder comes after a tremendous reaction to his open call earlier this month, urging former workers to rejoin the company’s ecosystem, which was previously known as Zomato.

In a statement directed at his old employees, Deepinder Goyal said, “I want you back,” on February 3. According to PTI, Zomato founder Deepinder Goyal, who had resigned from his position as Group CEO and MD of its parent business Eternal, recently issued a passionate call for its former employees to join Eternal, promising a more structured and less chaotic work atmosphere.

On X, Goyal acknowledged that the food delivery service lacked the atmosphere or leadership that many ex-Zomato workers needed at the time. The Blinkit and Zomato brands belong to Eternal. Despite the fact that the parent company changed its name from Zomato to Eternal last year, the food delivery platform still uses the brand name Zomato, as PTI reported further last week.

Deepinder’s new tweet says that he is overwhelmed by receiving over 8,000 emails. He’s tweet reads as follows:

A quick update on back@eternal.com

Over the last week, we received over 8,000 emails. About 4,000 from people who have been part of the Eternal journey at some point. Rest from people who haven’t worked here but want to. Thank you so much for this. I didn’t expect this at all.

Most of these emails are stories, and are full of emotions and honesty. There’s a lot of context and history in them. And a lot of our current team has no context on people who left five, ten, fifteen years ago. Eternal is in its late teens right now. The only person who can truly read these emails and know who to respond to is me. And it is not humanly possible for me to read through 8,000 emails, and pick and choose the right ones to respond to, quickly.

We are still going through every single one. It will take time.

But if you worked with me directly, and you wrote in, and you are waiting for a reply, here is what will work quickly: find my number and WhatsApp me. Looking forward to reconnect. And he ends this tweet with a smile emoji. Many are commenting on his tweet.
