A post is going viral where a man describes that he left his job and became a solo traveller. He shares how the decision changed his life and after leaving the high paying job, how he is now satisfied and loving what he is actually doing right now.

Leaving a high paying job is a big thing, but ultimately what matters is how happy you are now. Many netizens have reacted to the post with the same thought. With the title “29M: Quit my 50Lpa job and now travelling solo,” the man shares his story on Reddit.

“I just quit my job without a new offer in hand to take a mental breather. To clear my head, I took a solo trip to Hampi and it gave me exactly the space I needed to think about what comes next. It’s such a serene place filled with natural beauty and hardly any party scene. The cafes are amazing and the locals are incredibly kind,” he says. He left the job without any offer in hand and chose what he loved to do.

In his sabbatical thus far, the man noted that he had travalled to Spain, France, Mexico, Sri Lanka, the Netherlands and Thailand. In Karnataka, at the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Hampi, the man stated that he was presently loving being in nature. He was merely speaking to strangers, telling tales and trying to get insight on his work trajectory when he visited Hampi.

“For two days, I just drove around solo, stopping for tea at small shops. I ended up talking with random people, sharing stories and learning about the everyday ideas and pain points of living in smaller cities. I’m stepping into the unknown right now, but I really hope this break gives me the clarity I need for my professional career,” he mentioned. Social media users praised the man for taking the initiative and experiencing life as it should be.
