On national holidays and public holidays, the Indian stock market, including the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), will remain closed. The NSE holiday list 2026 states that there will be no trading in the equity, equity derivative or SLB markets on Friday, May 1. There will be 16 days of stock market holiday in the nation this year.
These days, there are no trading operations. Because of Maharashtra Day, the stock market will be closed on May 1.
