Nobody can run away from expenses, but tracking them down is important. Currently, a video is going viral where a Mumbai based entrepreneur breaks her expenses down. The internet has reacted over her Rs. 52,000 expenses, including rent and EMI.
Jahnvi Shah, recently posted an Instagram video explaining how much it costs her to reside alone in Mumbai. Her monthly expenses of approximately Rs. 52,000 do not include dining out, traveling, saving, shopping or unanticipated expenses.
She said she spends Rs. 16,500 for her portion of the rent and lives with two other individuals in a 3BHK apartment. Her rent is rather inexpensive by Mumbai standards because she lives in the main bedroom. Her monthly iPhone EMI, which costs about Rs. 12,000, is her next biggest outgoing. She rents furniture from Furlenco for around Rs. 2,700 every month.
Depending on her spending habits, groceries and purchases made through platforms like Blinkit and Zomato usually run between Rs. 8,000 to Rs. 10,000 per month. The monthly charge is increased by a number of small, frequent costs. She spends around Rs. 1,500 on subscriptions like Apple iCloud, Google Drive storage and other apps. Her monthly expenses have increased by around Rs. 5,000 to 6,000 due to commuting for work, appointments and daily travel in Mumbai.
She also spends about Rs. 3,500 on utilities, which include electricity, Wi-Fi and domestic help. She stated that she is prepared to bear the financial cost of living in Mumbai alone in order to gain the freedom that comes with it, despite the high expenses of living.
