According to WTTC President and CEO Gloria Guevara, India will host the World Travel & Tourism Council Global Summit in 2019. The 27th edition of the annual event organized by the global tourism organization will take place in Delhi, according to Guevara, who was speaking at the closing ceremony of the WTTC Global Summit in Valletta, Malta.

Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, the Union Tourism Minister who attended the three-day conference, stated that next year’s summit will be crucial in significantly boosting inbound tourism.

The role of cooperation between governments and private-sector firms in fostering tourism growth is also anticipated to be emphasized during the conference. Participants often come from the sectors of investment, infrastructure, connectivity, hospitality, aviation, technology and destination development.

The event seeks to foster investment talks and partnerships throughout the tourism value chain by bringing these stakeholders together. India will be at the core of debates around global travel and tourism stakeholders, with an emphasis on collaboration, international demand and the sector’s growth, by hosting the 2027 summit.
