Hyundai and TVS Motor joined hands to develop electric three wheelers in India, as per the reports. They have signed a pact. In a significant step toward sustainable last mile mobility, TVS Motor Company and Hyundai Motor Company inked a Joint Development Agreement (JDA) on Monday to create and market an electric three wheeler (E3W) for India and other markets.
The collaboration aims to provide mobility solutions suited to India’s specific transportation needs and it comes after the E3W concept was presented at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025.
Hyundai Motor will be in charge of the design and co-development of the electric three wheeler, utilizing its research and development skills, cutting edge mobility technologies and human centric design methodology, according to the deal.
The companies claimed that the electric three wheeler will be designed with an emphasis on sustainability and affordability to address India’s mobility issues, such as urban infrastructure and local road conditions, as highlighted above.
The innovations displayed at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 included the E3W notion, which featured adaptive ground clearance for roads impacted by monsoons, better safety mechanisms, an ergonomic layout for lengthy journeys, better thermal management for tropical temperatures and flexible interiors for carrying passengers and cargo, reported by ANI.
