To make the service fast, efficient and easy, EPFO is now planning the WhatsApp rollout for better, as well as a quick understanding of the PF balance check, last 5 transactions and claim status with one Hello message. Here is exactly what PF holders need to know.

To begin a conversation and utilize WhatsApp services, members must first text Hello to the EPFO’s WhatsApp number. Additionally, they have the option of getting EPFO notifications to their registered mobile number.

After that, the retirement fund manager would confirm if the message originated from the particular member’s registered mobile phone number associated with the Universal Account Number (UAN). If verified, the member will be given basic menu choices in the local language and the member can then choose the option, input details or answer straightforward questions by clicking on replies, according to the reports.
