Bengaluru Woman Says Viewing Expenditure Differently Changed Her Financial Mindset, Video Resonates Online
Every month we need to track our own expenses because, with a changing lifestyle and inflation, it is important for us to track the expenditure with our income. That’s how we can have our own analysis and conclusion of how much we are spending and how much we need to save more.
If our expenses get more, then we think about it, but it is natural to get a little panic, because we think our money is gone forever and when the next income comes, we become stingy. But a video is going viral on social media where a woman from Bengaluru explains that viewing expenses with a different approach can change the financial mindset. Might be will get less panic and think and react positively.
A resident of Bengaluru named Upasna Dogra posted the video on Instagram, where she discussed her connection with money and offered her thoughts on why she thinks a lot of middle class individuals see spending in the wrong way.
She said in the video that rather than viewing expenditures as lost money, individuals should start seeing them as money that is supporting them. She said that since many middle class households often get regular reminders to save money and stay away from unnecessary spending, they frequently feel bad about even necessary expenses.
What She Shares from Her Experience
She stated that financial awareness should entail not only wondering where one’s money is going, but also recognizing how it is enhancing one’s life and well-being. She used examples from her own expenses to make her point clear. She claimed that she realized she was paying for the comfort and security of having a secure place to come home every day after work, even though paying Rs. 20,000 in rent each month seemed like a lot at first, by breaking it down to roughly Rs. 650 per day.
She claimed she approached groceries in the same way. Spending about Rs. 200 a day on groceries, according to her, was enough to provide her body with the food and nutrients it required.
