Bajaj Auto Share Price Falls over 7 Percent after Weak Two Wheeler Domestic Sales in September 2026
Despite strong export growth helping the firm achieve a 5 percent year on year increase in total sales for the month of September 2026, Bajaj Auto’s share price plummeted more than 7 percent in early trade on Thursday. The auto stock fell by as much as 7.36 percent on the BSE to Rs. 10,060.00 each.
A 5 percent rise over the 5,10,504 units sold during the same month last year was recorded in September 2026, when the firm sold a total of 5,38,443 units. Bajaj Auto’s overall exports increased by 32 percent year on year to 2.43 lakh units in September, up from 1.85 lakh units a year prior. On the other hand, domestic sales fell by 9 percent from 3.25 lakh units to 2.94 lakh units.
There were 4.51 lakh total two wheeler sales, which was a 5 percent increase over the previous year. Compared to domestic two wheeler sales, which dropped by 12 percent to 2.39 lakh units, two wheeler exports grew by 34 percent to 2.11 lakh units. The share of the carmaker has been under pressure over the last month, falling by about 18 percent.
Over the past 6 months, Bajaj Auto’s stock has increased by 14 percent and over the course of a year, it has produced an optimistic 18 percent return. On the BSE, Bajaj Auto shares were trading 6.81 percent lower at Rs. 10,120 each at 10.00 am.
